Our Site Acceptance Rules

Although the Catholic Church allows a Catholic to contract the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony with non-Catholic and even non-Christians under special circumstances, MPDConnect is oriented to practicing Catholics focused on living their Faith to the fullest and their marriage as God’s call to matrimonial love and education of the children they may have in the Faith to the same extent the first Christians lived it. We believe the family is and has always been the ‘domestic Church’ where its members learn to love one another and the rest of humanity as Christ’s example; as St. Paul wisely said: ‘Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for Her’ (Ephesians, 5:25). We are not special, we are not an ‘elite’, we are just normal men and women, young or old, working in normal places, studying or teaching normal professions, doing humble work in a farm as well as designing spacecraft parts to explore new galaxies; but we do know where happiness lies: in Eternity with God and with the ones we loved on Earth. Therefore, we shall not lie: our standards should be high and especially in this time of self- indulgence, hatred and relativism, we want to be different and we want you to follow the steps of our first brothers and sisters. This said, these are the rules of acceptance, so if I want to be a member of this site:

  1. I am 18 years of age, a baptized Catholic with the Baptism accepted by the Catholic Church and be free to make my own decisions regarding dating and marriage without coercions of any type.
  2. I accept and strive to practice and live all the Catholic teachings contained in the St. John Paul ‘s ‘Catechism of the Catholic Church’, especially but not limited to human love between a man and a woman before and during marriage and the requirements, conditions and obligations of a Canonic Matrimony in our Church. More especially, I accept that Marriage in the Roman Catholic Church, also called Matrimony, is the 'covenant by which a man and a woman establish between themselves an exclusive partnership for the whole life and which is ordered by its nature to the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring', and which 'has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a Sacrament between the baptized'.
  3. After my Baptism I haven’t been married in the Catholic Church and if I did, this marriage has been declared invalid (null) by a Church’s competent Diocesan Tribunal, or has ended with the death of my spouse.
  4. I am not a Catholic Priest or member of the clergy with obligation of celibacy, or if I was, I have been dispensed from my priestly obligations and my celibacy by the competent Church’s authority.
  5. I am not a member of a religious or lay institution under votes of celibacy or if I was, I have been properly dispensed from this vote by the proper Church’s authority.
  6. I am not currently living in a civil or de-facto relationship of sexual nature or temporary separation.
  7. By clicking on the mandatory ‘I accept the site conditions’, I declare that I have read the site ‘Utilization Agreement’ and that I accept all the rules outlined in this document.
